About openhour · Bengaluru first
openhour is people helping people in Bengaluru's startup community. Meet new people and fresh ideas at events, find someone who has been where you are going, and join a community that feels like yours. Free by default, paid when you choose, with 0% commission.
Bengaluru's startup community is full of people who want to share what they know. A founder with a pricing question, a first-time manager, an operator weighing a hire: somewhere nearby is someone who has already been there.
A simple, open way to find each other makes the difference. Today, intros depend on who you already know, and good events are spread across groups and feeds.
openhour gives that goodwill a home. Events put you in a room with new faces and fresh thinking. Experts can be found by what they know and booked online or in person. Communities get their own space under their own name.
Four commitments that shape every decision on the platform.
Events and new people come before everything else. Start by being in the room.
Sharing your time is free unless you choose a fee. Payments go directly between members, so a person who sets a fee keeps all of it.
Any member can apply to become an expert and share what they know. We accept about 3 in 10, and rank is never sold.
Experts and founders keep what they earn. A community may choose to charge its own members.
Members book experts. Experts are members who applied and were vetted. Communities give it all a name and a home.
